Re-use the containerWe encourage you to re-use the container after it is empty. The glass is lead free and makes a fantastic beverage glass (especially margaritas, Yum Yum)!
How to cleanWipe any residual wax out of the bottom with a paper towel while it is still warm after burning, or scoop out any excess wax with a spoon. Soak for a few minutes in hot, soapy water. Use a spoon to lift up the glue tab at the bottom of the cup. Repeat as needed to remove all the wax that is left. Once the wax is all gone, you may place the glass in the top rack of the dishwasher.
As with any hand made glass, we recommend that you take some special care, as the glass is not tempered. They are quite durable but you should not expose them to extreme changes in temperatures. |
Our exquisite hand blown glass...
Each of our one of a kind containers is made of 100% recycled glass. Every piece is hand blown by skilled artisans in Mexico keeping a tradition that dates back to the 1500's.
The processA piece of molten glass is attached to the end of a long pipe by the artisan. He blows through the pipe and turns it as he forms the basic shape. As it cools, the final shape is created and the color is added. The base is formed in the same manner, and the two pieces are then attached. Every piece has its own unique character and qualities making it one of a kind. No two are exactly alike, just like us!
Mexican glass has been a favorite in the Southwestern part of the United States for many generations. We are excited to share it with you |
